TalkTools® Straw Kit

One of the fundamental techniques of Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) is straw drinking therapy. It encourages dissociation of the jaw, lips, and tongue through 12 developmental stages. It can be used to promote tongue retraction, tongue grading and controlled movements, lip rounding, and other oral-motor skills. This activity is fun for clients, and therapists appreciate it for its effectiveness and accessibility. The kit includes one straw of each level (colors may vary), a #1 replacement straw, two lip blocks, and an original TalkTools instruction booklet. Straws should not be washed in the dishwasher.
