TalkTools® Jiggler Combo - Unicorn & Sloth

Jiggler aids are effective for increasing sensory awareness in the jaw and lip muscles, reducing "fixation" or clenching in the jaw muscles, and/or meeting the need for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) stimulation as a substitute for bad oral habits. Additionally, each Jiggler can be used to meet more specific needs.

UNICORN - therapeutic goals:

GOAL #1: Reduce "fixation" (jaw muscle clenching) before oral motor exercises, feeding and speaking. This satisfies the need for stimulation of the temporomandibular joint and solves the tonic bite.

GOAL #2: Improve lip closure and tongue retraction prior to oral motor exercises, feeding, and speech. Feeding - eating with a spoon and drinking from a cup Oral motor positioning - flat-ended blowers and spatulas Speech - /ml /b/ /p/

GOAL #3: Introduce spoon feeding for all clients and clients with oral hypersensitivity (aversion)

SLOUCH - therapeutic goals:

OBJECTIVE #1: Reduction of "fixation" (jaw muscle clenching) before introducing oral motor exercises and/or to meet the need for temporomandibular joint stimulation

OBJECTIVE #2: Improving sensory awareness in the muscles of the jaw and lips before introducing oral motor exercises. Feeding - spoon feeding oral motor positioning - blowpipes with a flat nozzle and spatula Speech - /m/ /b/ /p/

GOAL#3: Improving lip roundness

Feeding - Drinking through a straw

Oral motor positioning - blowing bubbles and a blowtorch with a round tip

Speech - /o/ /u/

CONTRAINDICATIONS: DO NOT use with clients who have epilepsy and whose seizures may be triggered by vibration. 🛑 The devices are intended for external use under adult supervision. Chewing these tools is not recommended.

Two AA batteries are required, which are not included in the product. Use these aids to encourage sounds: /o/ /u/ /š/ /č/ /ć/ /đ/ /dž/ /m/ /b/ /p/
