Functional rehabilitation with an anoetic approach represents a neuroscientific philosophy that does not require any active patient participation.
This theory was developed in 2011 by Dr. Patrick Fellus, an orthodontics specialist, at the Robert Debré Hospital in Paris.
"Anoetic rehabilitation" means the automation of function, without conscious participation. It is based on altering proprioception by inhibiting dysfunctional patterns. This approach laid the groundwork for the first understanding of how Froggymouth works.
This functional concept was summarized in 2020 in a book intended for all practitioners who wish to deepen their knowledge of passive functional rehabilitation and strengthen their skills in using the Froggymouth tool.
Neuroscience research, once reserved for a small number of top scientists, is increasingly present in our daily lives. New data shapes modern learning methods – neuroeducation, neuromarketing – which help decision-makers choose the correct strategies. In professional practice, this research can help improve therapeutic decisions and interpret the changes that occur.
